The Illinois Human Rights Act applies to all real estate transactions in the State of Illinois, including the sale, rental, lease, sublease, assignment, or other transfer of real property, as well as the making or purchasing of loans and the provision of other financial assistance for real estate transactions.

Chicago Fair Housing Ordinance
